Paint Correction

Paint correction or paint enhancement is the process of repairing your clear coat using a variety of buffers, pads, compounds, polishes, and sometimes even sanding.

Paint correction is needed when your clear coat is damaged. This can include scuffs, swirls, marring, deep scratches, and other defects in your clear coat.

These damages occur for many different reasons from a light fender bender to a stray shopping cart, but the most common damages are from lack of protection and improper washing methods.

All paint corrections are not equal. Correcting your paint repairs scratches by removing a layer of your clear coat. This can only be done so many times before your clear coat is gone and will require a professional respray to repair the damage. This can be very expensive. For this reason, we advise that paint correction only be performed by an experienced professional. A paint thickness gauge is used to measure the thickness of your clear coat before starting any correction.

We take off the very minimum required to complete the correction leaving as much clear as possible to protect your paint for the life of your vehicle.
